Vinay Tumapalli is the NRI of the moment. Everyone’s dying to befriend him as he is US presidential hopeful Barak Obama’s dear friend. Tumapalli and Obama were collegemates and the former is believed to have raised a couple of million dollars for Obama’s campaign.
So all the Hyderabadis who either have business interests in the US or just love networking can’t wait to get to know Vinay first. And those who know him even vaguely, have been talking of him like they were childhood pals! He should be coming to town next month as his niece is getting married. Don’t be surprised if many parties will be hosted in his honour now!
Poor Illeana seems to be a hit with rumour mongers in the city. First she was in the news for an alleged suicide attempt and now word on the street is there’s something brewing between her and actor Prabhas.

Unlike most clothes and accessory launches where ladies arrive five minutes before the expected time, people were leisurely strolling in for the exclusive preview of Louis Vuitton products. Since LV products cost the moon nobody was worried about fashionistas exercising their cards too much. Samyukta Reddy was one of the few people who bought a bag.
Ladies were giggling that most were content to window shop as they didn’t have the heart to spend lakhs on luggage and bags. One P3P said, “In our city most people sport fakes, the real price tags are a bit much to handle for them!”
So all those who keep showing off their designer bags better beware that behind their back everyone giggles, saying, “Where’s the need to show off a fake!”
The hot topic of discussion these days is about marriages or relationships coming to an end. Two society marriages have ended and a third is on its way to the divorce courts. Looks like it’s all about “My way or the highway.”
The Chiranjeevi camp has become very active again. And guess who his new advisor is? One Dr Mitra from Nellore. He is supposedly a close pal of Allu Arvind — who now is Chiru’s full time political manager.
Dr Mitra was earlier working with Apollo hospital, Chennai, had short stints in Russia and the US, but is now a full time politician. According to the grapevine, he’s married to a foreigner.
He’s the most important man in the Chiru camp now.
